History: a three-generation company
La Jolie Rochelle was founded in the late 1960s when the outdoor resort and camping industry flourished in Quebec. The founders, Roland Larochelle and Laurette Fournier had the ambition to create a recreation and tourism hub in the heart of Bellechasse to serve the local population, but also the entire province of Quebec. Driven by the effervescence and prosperity of the time, the company had notable success.
Then, the second generation had the project to redefine the tourist offer by integrating the challenge of preserving the natural environment and biodiversity so rich in this exceptional environment. Gilbert Larochelle and Françoise Courville took over the reins at the turn of the 2000s by redesigning all the infrastructures to harmonize the objective of quality with the ecological imperative.
Finally, the third generation, with Martin Larochelle and Marilyn Moisan, is working to consolidate the gains made by ensuring that the company remains on a human scale, that is to say of medium size, where personalized hospitality and customer service remain the hallmark of Camping La Jolie Rochelle.
